OUR BELIEF

We believe that there is only one God, unchangeable in his being and attributes. He is eternally existent as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God has revealed himself to mankind especially through His written revelation, the Word of God. The only inspired, infallible record of God's Word is the Bible. It constitutes the final authority in all matters of life and faith.

We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God incarnate. He is the only mediator between God and man. Jesus Christ was virgin-born, lived a sinless life and died a substitutionary death for mankind. He rose again from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is going to return to welcome his own. Jesus Christ will judge all who have ever opposed him, including Satan and all evil spirits, and re-establish the eternal reign of God on earth and throughout the universe.

We believe that man was created by God in order to worship and serve him only. Through man’s defiance of God and disobedience of his Word, he became sinful and as a consequence is subject to spiritual and physical death. Since then all men are condemned and destined to remain separated from God, unless they individually accept salvation through Jesus Christ.

We believe that salvation from sin and its deadly consequences, from guilt and damnation is through personal repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone. He met the righteous demands of God once and for all when he died for the sins of the entire human race. Risen from the dead and returned to heaven, Jesus Christ now offers forgiveness of sin and eternal life as a free gift to all who accept him as their personal Saviour.
